'Cause for Celebration' (February '09)
Seven of the senior girls successfully auditioned at the beginning of the term and have been rehearsing each Saturday with Karen Harris for a performance at the Gulbenkian Theatre on the 13th February in aid of Cancer Research UK.  We have also been invited to dance the brilliant “Fosse” tribute choreographed by Debra Johnson and Hannah Willcocks.  The performance titled “Cause for Celebration” will also include the BalletBoyz – Michael Nunn and William Trevitt. Choreographic Competition! (December '08)
On the 6th December we held our annual Choreographic Awards. Congratulations to the various winners; Haririet Parker, Sophie Austin, Lucy Waters, Ben Bush, Dominic Jager, Lydia Bentley, Charlie Kennet, Esmee Reeves, Jasmine Tritton, Georgie Aldwinckle, Katie McCoy, Lydia Bennet, Rosie Malloy and Leeluu King.

Hasland dancers take part in charity event 'Dance for Peace' (November '08)
In November half term, our senior dancers took part in a fundraising performance at the Gulbenkian Theatre in Canterbury. They performed 'A Tribute to Fosse' and 'Footloose', and along with the other schools which took part managed to raise over £1300 for the Trust Sulha charity, a charity which funds education for Afghan refugee children and young people in Pakistan.
