The Hasland School was founded in 1942 by Muriel Hasland. It has been part of Herne Bay in Kent for over 60 years, teaching many generations of local people at its original Studios in Beach Street. Setting the pattern for its future, children were trained from 1942 in RAD Ballet (Royal Academy of Dance). Mrs Hasland was also the founder of the RAD South East Region. For a fuller history of the school, please contact us on the details below and we will be more than happy to send you the information.

The School is now owned and run by her daughter, Jacqueline Cartwright and includes all three disciplines in its training.

The School is located in a pleasant setting opposite the town's park, with 4 purpose built studios within one building, each having a sprung floor, barres and mirrors. Female and Male changing rooms with separate WC's are also provided.
