Examinations...
Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) graded and vocational Ballet examinations are taken by all pupils from Pre-Primary to Grade 8/Inter Foundation to Advanced 2.
Pupils are also entered for the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) Modern and Tap graded and vocational examinations.
The school has an outstanding record of a 99% pass rate in all disciplines at all levels. Prospective parents may request copies of recent examination marks sheets at any time.
Within the ballet discipline, all the children will begin their training with the RAD Graded Syllabus. This syllabus consists of three different components; Classical Ballet, Free Movement and Character Dance.
The school also offers the opportunity to follow the Vocational Syllabus to pupils who have attained excellent results in their graded examinations. The Vocational Syllabus is the continuation from the graded syllabus and introduces pointe work for the first time for girls. The syllabus has been designed to give the necessary training to pupils wishing to study seriously with a possible view to following a career in dance or dance related subjects, and who have the flexibility, strength and co-ordination necessary to achieve the high standards required to pass professional examinations.
